The big data QA lead (hands on) will be part of the shop floor team, will lead and take ownership of the overall qa methodologies and activities for the shop floor product, leading qa engineers in remote locations (off shore and near shore).
Responsibilities
Generate test plans and determine levels of effort for projects by analyzing functional requirements and design documents
Design and implement automated and manual test case infrastructure and processes
Follow all regression tests plans, complete documentation checklists, and report exceptions
Work closely with software engineers on agile teams to deliver quality features
Participate in architecture discussions to address long-term design objectives
Responsible for qa engineers in remote locations working in team extension mode
Report to the vp product line

Experience requirements
B.sc. in technical field such as : computer science/sw engineering/ math/ physics from a recognized university
5+ years’ experience as senior qa engineer or team leader
1+ years’ experience with big data project
Experience in test automation
Full software development life-cycle experience with proven track record of shipping quality software products on-time
Advantages
Experience in java, including unit/integration testing frameworks
Sql and nosql knowledge, including writing and executing queries to analyze data
Experience with public, private, and hybrid cloud implementations like aws or azure
Experience testing on the hadoop platform and user-level hadoop configuration and administration skills
Apache kafka experience
Experience working with offshore/nearshore team members
Experience testing distributed systems, testing of etl and message queue workflows and workloads, and user-level understanding of web application security and performance testing tools
User-level understanding of web application security and performance testing tools
Apache spark experience – including production experience using sparksql and spark streaming or apache storm
Experience developing tests in functional programming languages such as scala, clojure, python, or javascript
Experience with pcb market
Experience in scrum methodology
